I'm an aspiring endurance athlete who has always dreamed of being able to undertake epic adventures such as the Marathon des Sables, Marathon of Britain, maybe even an Ironman... I hated sports at school and was always the kid who was overweight, unfit and never picked for teams. Ten years ago I lost loads of weight and got quite fit, however all the weight found me! Since 1st Jan 2005 I have lost 3 1/2 stone and got back into running but have since put some back on so need to shift it! I aim to share my experiences and perhaps motivate others- after all if I can do it, anyone can!! Life's an adventure!! Oh yeh, I'm 42, in the UK and single. I achieved the dream of completing the 24th Marathon des Sables in 2009, and am now saving up for my next adventure!
